Stops working quick
I was very excited to get this product, and it worked well during my first run. It shortly stopped working and I had to reset it. It hasn't worked well since and it won't even record or speak to me. Waste of money in my opinion.

So motivating!
Likes (Loves):
helps me maintain a healthy pace during my workouts (as a result I am running more frequently and without injury!!!)
immediate feedback as I workout (this is so motivating!!)
helps me gage my effort and thus allows me to safely push myself
connects to helpful and informative website to keep track of my activities (lots of plans to pick from with many different levels to start with)
simple to use
Dislikes:
needed a couple of runs to make sure I set up my preferences correctly and wore the heart sensor appropriately

tempermental
I have had to do the paper clip thing way too many times, I think.
I do like the feedback, and the way the zones are determined. I find it very useful in making my runs more effective.
overall a good product, I wish I could combine ths with the garmin 305

Helped me complete my first marathon
I purchased this over a year ago to help me train for my 2nd half marathon and months later for my 1st full marathon. This has helped me increase my endurance exponentially. I have also increased my speeds. I am able to run a 5k in under 20 minutes for the first time. miCoach does make you run faster and further. The voice alerts are extremely useful at instantly notifying you to change your speed if necessarily. The recent additions to the miCoach firmware has increased the activities from not just running to also biking and many sports. This is great for biathlons, but not triathlons because you cannot swim with it. The pod, pacer and heart monitor are lightweight and do not weight down on you while you run. The heart monitor strap is comfortable even over long distance. I have ran with it for over 3 hours and it didn't cause any chaffing or rash.
Cons: All of the cons I have experienced are technical.
1: The USB design using a 1/8 audio jack for data transfer instead of a standard micro USB port can cause confusion at first. I know i am not the only one who, after a long run, has put the USB jack into the wrong port on the pacer. (I guess they did this to save money /make it cost less) A wireless alternative Option will be nice.
2: The foot pod is only semi accurate and may need to be calibrated. this can be done on the website easily. But you must be able to compare it to exact known distance, like a track, course or GPS. The difference in minimal; less than 0.02%. over long distance (like marathon training) in can add up to a huge difference.
3. It requires you to have headphones in, well not really, but it can be difficult to setup "free" run without headphones. There are no indicators on the pacer itself to tell you your current status. Not a multicolored led to show you your zone, or LCD for your heart rate, distance or anything. I wanted to use this to track some of my free runs but because of my circumstances I cannot have headphones in. I bought a GPS watch with a LCD screen for this reason. You may not want to wear headphone while running on the street so you don't get hit buy a car.

Love It
MiCoach Pacer is a wonderful product. I've used it on several runs so far. Pretty accurate in calculating mileage. Love all the feedback it gives you about your run. Only had one problem where it didn't register calories burned or my heart rate. But overall it's just fantastic.

Failure to perform
My initial encounter, I plugged into a USB port to charge...2 hours later I found noting but 3 red lights. It took me 2 hours of internet searching to resolve the issue: use the reset hole and a paperclip.
Product worked for a while, but website lacked find how to set up less than 100 weeks for training. After my first training run, I reconnected to USB port...no lights... I returned and reordered.
No apparent online email support

frustrating and short comings
still getting a sense of functionality/value of the Pacer; disappointments include -- inability of it to combine/merge data directly to the miCoach on my droid smart phone; also frustrating that can't see pulse as i am running; will keep playing with it and may come to like it more but am not so sure

Love it!
I am a beginning runner and this is perfect for me. I love that I can track my workouts, get workout plans that fit my needs since I am just starting and don't know yet what the best plan of action is, and I love that there are so many different areas that micoach keeps track of.

Very well worth it!!!
I have used micoach for over a year now and I would strongly recommend it to anyone that wants to get serious about training.
